St. Louis Teens Street Race through Construction Zone, Construction Worker Hit and Killed

Two St. Louis, Missouri teens are facing criminal charges after a deadly street race left one construction worker dead. According to local news reports, WTVM, on Friday, April 5, at around 10:35 p.m., St. Louis teens Deodre Robinson and Patrick Aten were racing each other in south St. Louis County, when Robinson is said to have lost control of his vehicle, and hit two construction workers. Both teens are said to have been racing each other at a high rate of speed when the accident occurred. Tragically, one of the construction workers that Robinson hit, identified as 34-year-old Christopher Johnson, was fatally injured as a result of the crash, and he died at the scene of the accident. The other construction worker that was hit by Robinson was taken to the hospital for emergency medical treatment for “serious injuries.” Robinson and Aten have both been charged with criminal charges of first-degree involuntary manslaughter and second-degree assault. Robinson also faces criminal charges of operating a vehicle on a highway without a driver’s license. Both teens are being held on a $150,000 cash bond, and the case is still ongoing.
