Privacy Policy

At the Law Office of Lunsford, Baskin & Priebe PLLC (“the Firm” or “we” or “us”) we respect your privacy concerns and are committed to being transparent about the technologies we use. This Privacy policy is also specifically addressed to parties outside the firm who provide Personal Information to the firm or who visit or use the firm’s website(s), our apps, our social media sites, our extranets, as well as email messages that we send to you that contain a link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Internet Services”). This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you how the Firm may collect and use your personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) and other information through our Internet Services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party sites, resources, or Linked websites, as those sites have their own policies.

Modification of Privacy Policy Terms:

This Privacy Policy constitutes an understanding between you and the Firm. We reserve the right to change, modify, alter, or otherwise update how we handle the information we collect and process via our Internet Services and to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. All changes and modifications are effective upon posting. You agree to review this Privacy Policy periodically to be aware of any such modifications. We will indicate that changes to this Privacy Policy have been made by updating the date after “Last Updated” at the end of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the then-current version of this Privacy Policy, then you are not authorized to use our Internet Services. Continued use of this website or other Internet Services is deemed conclusive acceptance of the changed or modified Privacy Policy. Our Internet Services enable users (each a “user” and collectively “users,” “you,” “your,” “yours,” or “yourself”) to browse our website or use our other Internet Services. We may obtain Personal or Non-Personal information from third parties such as our service providers, vendors, independent contractors, business partners, sponsors, and other sources (e.g., offline records or publicly available information). We may combine the Personal Information we collect with information we obtain from these sources. We will treat any such combined information as Personal Information.

The Apps use technical tools such as “cookies.” Cookies (including web beacons, pixels, gifs, tags, or similar technologies) are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in website or other Internet Services are visited and by how many people. Our cookies do not collect Personal Information, and we do not combine the general information collected through cookies with other Personal Information to tell us who you are or reveal your screen name or email address.

The Firm does not control any of the content from social media sites or plug-ins. Information We Collect:

Personal Information-
Use of Internet Services Use: We may receive and store any information you enter through our Internet Services or provide us in any other way. The types of Personal Information collected may include an email address or information you provide when you contact us, an IP address, Internet Services use information, and browser information. The Personal Information you provide may be used for such purposes as improving the content of our Internet Services, customizing the content you see, and communicating with you about our services.

Communications: When you use certain features of our Internet Services, you may opt-in to receive communications from us. You can manage some of your messaging preferences, but note that you cannot opt out of receiving transactional, administrative, legal, or technical messages from us. We may de-identify or aggregate Personal Information to create Non-Personal Information. We may combine certain information about your use of our Internet Services with similar information that we obtain from other users for use in an aggregate or anonymous manner. We will treat as Personal Information any Non-Personal Information that is combined with Personal Information.

How We Use Your Information:

Efforts to Secure Internet Services:

We have in place security procedures as to how your Personal Information is stored and used and to try to prevent any unauthorized access or misuse of it. We take security extremely seriously. However, no security system is 100 percent secure, so we cannot guarantee the protection of your Personal Information any more than any other organization can. Thus, we cannot guarantee that such information will not be lost, disclosed, or accessed by accidental circumstances or by the unauthorized acts of others.

Policies Regarding Children:

In order to respect the privacy of minors, the Firm does not knowingly collect, maintain or process Personal Information submitted online via our website by anyone under the age of 18. To the extent the firm collects Personal Information on minors in the context of one of the purposes mentioned in this privacy policy, the firm will only do so with the appropriate consent or as otherwise permitted under applicable laws.

Under California Civil Code Section 1798.100 (California Consumer Privacy Act), California residents may have certain data protection rights regarding their Personal Information. These rights which may be subject to limitations and/or restrictions include: (i) the right to disclosure, deletion, access, and non-discrimination; and (ii) the right to opt out of having your Personal Information shared or sold. The firm does not sell or share your Personal Information with third-party companies for their direct marketing purposes without your consent.
