Reports indicate that the fatal accident involved two vehicles. The accident was reported that fateful morning after a driver of one of the vehicles ran into the back of the garbage truck with Bonura riding on it. Bonura was pinned between the vehicle and the garbage truck as a result of the collision. Bonura was transported to the hospital for lifesaving emergency medical treatment, but he, sadly, died from his injuries from the crash.
